  • Incarcerating the Mentally Ill . . .

    The percentage those incarcerated in California with mental illness has increased in the past couple of years. This has occurred because we have been mandated by the federal government to reduce the inmate population to meet constitutional standards, and while we have reduced the overall population the number of incarcerated mentally ill has remained constant. Continue Reading

  • Autism WALK in VENTURA!!!

    The Autism Society of Ventura County is holding its first annual walk, April 6th!!! There will be a variety of walks to participate in, as well as other events and information resources. Go to the ASVC webpage at for more information! WALK!!!


    Tonight, Hayden’s Dr. Selena will present a Parent Workshop at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Santa Barbara. This is a free workshop and the topics will include issues faced by parents who have teenage children. See the event calendar for directions!
