Mr. Hatchell has over 35 years experience working with and providing instruction to both adults and children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, mental retardation and other special needs in home, work and community environments. His experience includes both management and development of; residential programs, specialty group homes, intermediate care facilities, supportive living programs, behavioral milieu support systems, recreational services and community access services. His positions have included Director of Children’s Services, Manager of Training, Clinical Case Manager, Program Manager and Direct Support Professional. He has practical training in functional behavioral assessment, applied behavior analysis (ABA), pivotal response training (PRT), discrete trial training, picture exchange communication systems (PECS), routine schedules, social stories and augmentative communications supports. His areas of emphasis include; functional behavioral assessments, development of milieu behavioral supports (emphasizing quality of life goals), staff training of positive behavioral supports and behavior support plan reliability assessments.
